    I was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on April 28th of 1981. My biological mother was 18 and already had one child, a son. He was one year old when I was born. She felt she couldn't take care of another child, so she put me up for adoption. A few months later I was adopted by the OKray family of Merrill, Wisconsin. I have a brother, Mike, who is almost 21..
     I grew up in Merrill with my family. I went to pre-school at Parkside and elementary at Jefferson. My best friend is, was, and always will be Michelle Gegner. She's the greatest. I've never had a friend that I could trust and confide in as much as her. When I was 7 we moved to
Columbus, Georgia because my dad got a job at AFLAC. We lived in a house in Brittany 2 subdivision for a few years and then moved to Beaver Run when I was in 6th grade.
     I went to St. Anne's Catholic School in 2nd and 3rd grade, then to Matthews Elementary from 4th to 6th. I didn't like the way I was treated at either one, but my mom wouldn't transfer me again after Matthews.
     After elementary, I went to Fort Middle School. It was okay but could have been much better. Then I went to Hardaway High School. I hung out with the wrong crowd and got into some deep problems I didn't deserve to get in, so I left for Shaw (after 9th grade). It was alright, but still could have been better.
     For my Junior year, I transferred to
Pacelli Catholic High School. It's much better, especially since we have Channel One News. I had a best friend named Celia and I figured we'd be closer there. I was going out with James Dye that year. He was was the nicest, most caring, loving guy I had ever met. I was so glad to be with him. We were together for 7 1/2 months. But at least I still had his friendship, and all our wonderful memories.
     I just graduated on May 29th, 1999. I am now a college student at
Columbus State University. I was going to go to the University of Georgia but decided that I wanted to stay closer to home. Of course, the place I really want to go to is the University of Wisconsin in Madison. But alas, I cannot. So CSU it is! I worked at Target part time for a while, and was a secretary for my lawyer, but am now searching to find a new part time job that will fit my schedule.

    

     The main thing a person needs to know about me is that I am very religious, a major christian. I believe in Angels, my favorite book is the Bible. I love to read Scripture. And I love to discuss religion with other people. Also, even though I don't like Clinton, I would love to visit the White House one day. But it'll never be as good as Disney World!
     I'm writing a book called "
Corsica," and also write Poetry (have had lots published through the National Library of Poetry). Oh yeah, and my pen name is Rebecca Heartly. I think that's important for you to know, because that's the only way you'll ever find my work! ;-)
     Anyway, I enjoy pretty much everything... like reading, writing, shopping, listening to
music, talking on the phone, surving the net, etc. Anything enjoyable or worth doing... with a few exceptions of course! ;-) I collect Beanie Babies too!
     I LOVE football, especially the
Green Bay Packers. I like Baseball (the Redstixx are from Columbus), Softball (Georgia Pride), Hockey (the Columbus Cottonmouths), and Basketball too. I like playing sports as much as watching them. But most of all, I love to watch my team play! You oughtta see mine and my brother's rooms! We're DIE HARD fans!
     I listen to pretty much every kind of music, including Classical and Rap. Jazz is okay... I like Kenny G. I enjoy listening to
Delilah every night. I also watch VH1, MTV, and CMT, and listen to Rock 103, Sunny 100, Kissin' 99.3, and B101 to get my daily fill of music. I especially like the Backstreet Boys, N' Sync, and 98°. My favorite band is Bush, and I am a member of the Fan Club.My favorite song is "When You Say Nothing at All" by Alison Krauss.
     I watch lots of TV... usually
NBC, ABC, or WGN. I like South Park (Also, check out South Park Greetings and the home of Mr. Hankey!), and Elmo. :-) My favorite soap opera is Sunset Beach. I also like teenage-based shows (Saved by the Bell, California Dreams, etc.) and family-based shows (7th Heaven, Dawson's Creek, etc.). My favorite movies are Grease, Cruel Intentions, The Devil's Advocate, Titanic, Armageddon, and 10 Things I Hate About You.
     I watch a lot of movies on
Lifetime. They have some pretty good stuff, girl stuff of course. I LOVE Shakespeare... I also like to read V.C. Andrews. She's really good, my favorite author in fact. And who couldn't love Danielle Steel? I like some horror stories, mysteries, and a lot of romance! ;-)

Respect your elders. Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund. Maybe you'll have a wealthy spouse. But you never know when either one might run out. Don't mess too much with your hair or by the time you're 40 it will look like 85. Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia. Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more that it's worth. But trust me on the sunscreen.
